Job Description
The
Compliance Officer will ensure that the Service Providers adheres to internal policies and external legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves monitoring, assessing, and reporting on compliance risks, helping to build a culture of integrity, and maintaining a strong compliance framework across departments.
An ideal candidate enjoys investigative work, is detail-oriented, and demonstrates excellent analytical and communication skills. Knowledge of local and some international compliance standards, risk management practices, and regulatory frameworks is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure company-wide adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and audits, documenting findings and recommending remedial actions.
- Prepare and deliver compliance training sessions and materials for internal stakeholders [as necessary]
- Investigate compliance issues, complaints, or breaches, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution.
- Develop, update, and implement compliance procedures and policies where necessary.
- Support the onboarding process of new vendors and partners, ensuring compliance with due diligence and vendor accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Legal, Finance, Tax, Operations) to align business processes with compliance standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and respond to inquiries or audits.
- Maintain organized compliance records and ensure proper data protection practices.
- Prepare reports and presentations for the leadership team on compliance status, risks, and KPIs.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that require compliance insight or support.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree
- 2–3 years of experience in compliance, audit, or regulatory affairs.
- Background in e-Commerce, Logistics, or Finance is a plus.
- Six Sigma Knowledge or Certificate is a plus
- Project Management Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of compliance,audit and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Excellent research, writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
