We are seeking a dedicated High-Risk Business Development Officer to spearhead our efforts in acquiring and managing high-risk merchants in the gaming, betting, and Forex (FX) sectors. This role involves sourcing, onboarding, and supporting merchants with elevated risk profiles while ensuring compliance with industry standards and mitigating fraud and financial risks. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in high-risk merchant services, risk assessment, and the gaming industry.

Position Details:

• Level: Senior (2–3 years of experience in high-risk payment processing) 
• Industry Experience: iGaming B2B (game provider experience acceptable with payment knowledge) 
• Nationality: Malaysian, Singaporean, or Taiwanese 
• Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin 
• Work Setup: Remote, with availability for business travel 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Merchant Acquisition: 

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard high-risk merchants (iGaming/Betting/Forex, etc.). 
• Build and maintain a strong industry network to drive targeted merchant acquisition. 

2. Risk Assessment & Compliance: 

• Conduct comprehensive AML, KYC, and regulatory compliance checks. 
• Ensure merchants comply with local and international standards, including AML and data privacy regulations. 

3. Account Management: 

• Serve as the primary contact for high-risk merchants, providing ongoing support and relationship management. 
• Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to monitor transactions, addressing unusual activities. 

4. Strategic Risk Mitigation: 

• Develop and implement strategies to manage risk exposure and ensure profitability. 

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

• Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and merchant support. 

6. Market Analysis & Reporting: 

• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to refine acquisition strategies. 
• Prepare detailed reports on merchant performance, risk, and compliance for stakeholders. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. 
• 2+ years of experience in high-risk merchant acquisition (gaming, betting, Forex, Fintech, or payment processing industries preferred). 
• Strong knowledge of high-risk payment processing, AML/KYC regulations, and risk management tools. 
• Deep understanding of the gaming/betting/Forex industries and related regulatory frameworks. 
• Proficiency in fraud prevention and transaction monitoring tools. 
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. 
• Familiarity with payment platforms and risk management systems. 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
