Overview:

An Engineering Manager that will lead one or more cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on online payment solutions for the enterprise customers of Maya Business. This profile will help shape the technology roadmap for the platforms and will guide the team towards a healthy career within the organization.

What you will do:

• Lead one or more cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on online payment solutions for the enterprise customers of Maya Business.
• Designs highly scalable, fault-tolerant, reliable, and high-integrity payments (front-end and back-end systems), able to handle 100M+ accounts w/ 10k+ TPS
• Work closely with other Product and Engineering verticals to deliver an inclusive end-to-end solution wherever Maya Business is involved
• Review functional specifications, and work closely with the Product and Business team to help shape the future of the product
• Plan and build platform-centric roadmaps, incorporating both Product vision as well as Tech vision to ensure that the platform grows and scales according to the needs of the business
• Coordinate with various senior engineering leads across the technology group to implement group-wide initiatives
• Navigate through various regulatory requirements like PCI-DSS for sensitive systems, infrastructure, and operations
• Conduct human capacity planning, technical recruitment, targets and KPI setting, and performance monitoring for all new and current team members

What you need to succeed:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 10+ years software development experience as a Development Engineer, Quality Engineer, or DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer. At least 2 years as a team lead or a technical lead.
• Proficiency in any backend tech stack and language (Typescript, JavaScript, Java, Python, Golang, etc.)
• Expertise building and consuming RESTful web APIs and/or GraphQL
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud computing (Amazon Web Services)
• Experience architecting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Gitlab, Jenkins, or any existing CI/CD platform
• Experience in building and maintaining high-performing product engineering teams
• Experience with event-driven and/or streaming architectures powered by Apache Kafka, AWS (Amazon Web Services) SQS/SNS is a big plus
