Description

  1. Dispensing Medications: Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring the correct dosages, formulations, and instructions.

  1. Patient Counseling: Provide advice and guidance to patients regarding proper medication usage, side effects, and possible interactions, ensuring understanding and compliance.

  1. Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels of medications, manage orders, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals to comply with safety and legal standards.

  1. Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, review prescriptions, and recommend alternative treatments when necessary.

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all pharmacy operations are in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, including drug regulations, safety protocols, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements

  1. Education: A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.

  1. Licensure: Valid pharmacist license in the relevant state or region.

  1. Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, therapeutic protocols, and pharmaceutical laws.

  1. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately read prescriptions, manage medication dosages, and identify potential medication errors.

  1. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient counseling and collaborating with healthcare teams.
