Head of Corporate Affairs


Job Purpose:

The Head of Corporate Affairs will manage and optimize the company’s land and property assets while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role encompasses land acquisition, property administration, stakeholder engagement, legal representation, and environmental compliance. The successful candidate will also lead initiatives to cultivate relationships with government bodies, communities, and other stakeholders to support sustainable business operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Land & Property Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies for land acquisition, tenement management, and asset disposal.
  • Maintain and secure permits, licenses, and compliance for all properties.
  • Conduct due diligence on land acquisitions and manage disputes.
  1. Stakeholder Relations:
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, local communities, and regulatory bodies (DENR, EMB, MGB, LGUs).
  • Represent the company in negotiations, court proceedings, and audits.
  1. Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with mining tenements, environmental laws, and corporate governance policies.
  • Draft, review, and approve legal documents and third-party agreements.
  1. Environmental, Health, & Safety Leadership:
  • Lead environmental and sustainability initiatives in line with company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to Environmental Impact Assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
  1. Team Leadership & Development:
  • Oversee the Corporate Affairs team, including Legal Officers and Compliance Officers.
  • Provide clear direction and foster professional growth within the department.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to land acquisition, property disputes, and regulatory compliance.


Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in land registration cases, property acquisition, or dispute resolution.
  • Experience in real estate transactions, contract negotiations, and project management.
  • Knowledge of environmental and mining regulations is a plus.
  • Licenses: Philippine Bar Exam passer.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, case management, and Microsoft Office.
  • Competencies in risk management, stakeholder engagement, and environmental compliance.
