The Design Desk Engineer (DDE) role is essential to ensuring the success of both our clients and the organization. The DDE's primary responsibility is to create highly customized technology designs and solution proposals that are tailored to meet the unique IT requirements of each client. These custom proposals not only align technology with the client’s business objectives but also help bring their technology into alignment with industry best practices to reduce reactive service issues and resolution times through standardizations



Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Generate detailed work plans with phase- and task-level services required for project teams (PMs, PCs, and PEs) to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Leverage project methodologies to foster client engagement and ensure alignment with professional services delivery processes
  • Receive comprehensive business and technical requirements from vCIOs prior to proposal development
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather accurate and tailored product and service proposal
  • Follow established product sourcing processes, collaborating with manufacturers, distributors, and third-party vendors to identify and price products and services that meet client requirements
  • Apply markup tables to ensure product margins meet targets and client agreement guidelines
  • Negotiate volume discounts and favorable pricing with vendors through deal registration processes and rebate programs
  • Use proposal generation tools to create solution proposals
  • Utilize centralized services tools and client asset documentation to identify client assets and configurations to aid in the proposal development process
  • Maintain and manage the proposal template library
  • Monitor and prioritize tickets in the Design Desk queue, ensuring timely completion of proposal development tasks
  • Log work details into Design Desk tickets to maintain accurate records
  • Customize the Onboarding Project Template for new clients, developing solutions proposals tailored to their specific needs
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product and service offerings
  • Attend training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and maintain certifications
  • Engage in post-project reviews to refine proposal development and technical skills
  • Report previous day’s accomplishments, utilization, and present scheduled project work
  • Attend new project KT meetings to share proposal details and answer questions posed by team members
  • Review team performance, customer satisfaction ratings, and participate in process improvements
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technology standards
  • Review individual performance, address successes and challenges, and implement improvement strategies as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or tech school degree, with industry certifications in information technology
  • At least four (4) to five(5) years of experience as a Design Desk Engineer
  • Must have stable employment history
  • Demonstrated success in achieving organizational goals and maintaining high levels of operational efficiency
  • A deep passion for technology, with a commitment to staying current with industry developments
  • Understanding of organizational structures and business operations to foster successful proposal development and project outcomes
  • Expertise in relevant technologies, with a commitment to ongoing development
  • Ability to adhere to established processes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Strong organizational abilities, ensuring efficient workflow and team coordination
  • Proficient in managing project details to meet deadlines and client expectationa
  • Strong understanding of business operations and excellent communication skills for effective client and team interactions


Work Location: WFH (within Philippines only)

Work Schedule: 9 PM to 6 AM, Monday to Friday
