Description
The main responsibility of Assistant Logistics Manager [Secondary] is to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of LPG and performance of service work. To oversee the transportation of products from one location to another. Conduct a cost analysis of companies’ fleet in order to develop programs that are cost-efficient and properly handle the delivery loads. Must ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that the product is sent and delivered in a timely manner and also ensures that fleets are well maintained and used properly.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BSBA - Logistics/Supply Chain or any related course
- Good leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledgeable in supply chain management
- Proficient in MS Office
- Must be familiar with LPG Business
- Knows how to drive
Principal Accountabilities:
LOGISTICS OPERATION
- Monitors Plants Logistics Supervisor or Coordinator if they are monitoring their truck’s ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and Turn Around Time (TAT) of active trucks to ensure on time deliveries.
- Monitors all plants consolidated booked orders based on POS and delivery schedules, to make sure that it is strategically done to maximize fleet & better cost management.
- Investigate customer complaints concerning deliveries and losses.
- Monitors if plant Logistics Supervisor and Coordinators regularly conducted monthly safety meetings with all drivers and helpers.
- Tracking progress of delivery thru Logistics Supervisor and updates status of deliveries to BGR, Flying-V, Sea Oil and BG Com group.
- Ensure no underweight LPG is delivered to the customers.
- Maintain close communications with the Plant Operations Department for loading of trucks and weighing of cylinders to our Plant sites to ensure smoothness of operations.
- Conduct regular plant visits to update and check reports.
- Make sure that Logistics Supervisor and Coordinator are managing their delivery crews, to maintain a high standard of delivery service and impose disciplinary action for those that are not compliant with our standards.
TRUCK & ASSET MANAGEMENT
- Ensure that all trucks are compliant to all government regulatory permits such as Conveyance permits, License to Operate and OR/CR.
- Make sure that Logistics Supervisors and Coordinators maximize GPS navigation tools for live truck location monitoring.
- Make sure that Logistics Supervisors and Coordinators are monitoring unauthorized stopover and routes of trucks.
- Make sure that Logistics Assistant/Coordinators are keeping track of the maintenance schedule of their plant stake truck and inform fleet personnel for the schedule of truck maintenance.
- Ensure that all delivery trucks are compliant to safety policies of BIVMC.
- Ensure annual weighing scale calibration are performed.
- Assist Logistics and Motor pool Department Manager for any other assignments requested.
DATA MONITORING AND REPORTING
- Preparation of monthly Logistics report—Cost Analysis, Maintenance updates, On-Time delivery report, programs, issues and concerns.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Supervise, coach, and train subordinates.
- Monitor annual drug testing to all drivers and helpers is practiced.
- Ensure that all delivery drivers are properly renewed their driver’s license and delivery personnel are trained in the proper handling of LPG in cylinders by LPGIA.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with all drivers and helpers.
- Ensure succession planning and continuous development of staff.
- Identify training needs and provide or arrange skill development for team members.
