Job description

As an Early Childhood Educator at Playscape Manila, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for children. Your role will encompass curriculum development, documentation of children’s learning progress, and building strong connections with families. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, play-based educational experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the Foundation Stage from the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Design and implement an emergent, play-based curriculum that fosters the foundational life skills of young learners. Ensure learning activities are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with Playscape Manila’s educational philosophy.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of children’s learning progress, including observations, assessments, and portfolios. Utilize documentation to support children’s growth and communicate progress with families.
• Instruction: Lead daily educational activities, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment. Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and promote the holistic development of every child.
• Family Engagement: Build strong, trusting relationships with families, ensuring open communication about their child’s development. Facilitate regular meetings and provide guidance to parents, helping them support their child’s milestones.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Playscape team, sharing insights, co-developing teaching strategies, and supporting school-wide initiatives.
• Compliance and Alignment: Ensure that teaching practices, curriculum, and classroom management align with Playscape Manila’s policies, procedures, and educational standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Experience in curriculum development and play-based learning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for early childhood education and fostering a love of learning in young children
