What You'll Do

As the Vice President of Regulatory Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the company's compliance strategy. Your expertise in regulatory matters will be crucial in navigating the complex landscape of financial regulations. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of regulatory compliance, from developing and implementing the company's compliance program to liaising with regulators. Your commitment to educating employees about compliance issues and your ability to effectively monitor compliance systems will be key to your success in this role.

  • Assume the CCO’s duties in their absence or incapacity and serve as the DCORO for the Compliance Office.
  • Coordinate regulatory communications and submissions with BSP, SEC, PDIC, and other relevant authorities.
  • Manage and supervise the Regulatory Compliance Manager and ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Monitor and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee BSP examinations, thematic reviews, and manage response coordination for AREF and ROE.
  • Provide compliance advisory to internal stakeholders and issue regulatory guidance as needed.
  • Represent the Compliance Office in meetings and attend relevant trainings to stay current on regulatory trends.
  • Review, summarize, and disseminate regulatory issuances from BSP, AMLC, and PDIC across business units.

  • At least 5 to 8 years of banking experience in general or regulatory compliance, with prior leadership experience and direct exposure to BSP Visitation or Examination processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, set departmental vision and performance standards, and foster a positive and values-driven culture.
  • Excellent understanding of the Philippine regulatory landscape, particularly in relation to the BSP, AMLC, PDIC, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in talent development and succession planning, with a focus on building leadership continuity and sustaining organizational capabilities.
  • Proven track record in developing KPIs, assessing effectiveness of strategies, and adjusting plans to achieve compliance and business goals.
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder influence, leveraging regulatory, political, and business networks to shape outcomes across markets and industries.
  • Track record of delivering service excellence, cultivating a customer-focused mindset within a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Values-driven leadership, consistently modeling organizational values and upholding its reputation with regulators, clients, and employees.
