Position Title: Senior Java Engineer (Output team)

Job Description

In the Integration & Output Domain, we provide banks a sustainable path in combining Avaloq Core banking system and ecosystem products.

You will be surrounded by smart, highly capable people who are passionate to build the next generation of innovative applications to address the upcoming challenges of integrating our Avaloq Core Banking systems with different third parties being able to cope with all the new technologies.

In the Output team, we are in charge of the fundamental output capabilities of the Avaloq Banking System.

We are looking for passionate Senior Java Engineers to join our team to help us in the development and maintenance of our output products.

Your key tasks

• Analysis of customers' requirements for output area of competence
• Work as part of an agile development team in line with the product roadmap
• Collaboration with the Product Owner, Technical Lead, and Architect for specifications and design
• Design, develop and maintain output products and services
• Take ownership and responsibility for his area of expertise
• Improve code quality via Unit and Integration tests
• Follow and promote best coding practices within the team
• Perform code reviews and coach junior team members
• Update of technical documentation in close collaboration with the Technical Writers' team

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience preferred with a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering
• Full-stack Java development experience (java 17+) including knowledge of common tooling such as Spring Boot and JPA, GraphQL, Liquibase, and Spring Security
• Advanced proficiency RESTful API building
• Knowledge of traditional software development processes and tools, including Git, Gradle and Jenkins CI tool, JIRA, Confluence, Code Reviews
• Hands-on experience developing microservices using modern technologies such as Apache Kafka, REST APIs, containerization ( Kubernetes), and cloud-based infrastructure
• Testing frameworks: Junit, Mockito
• Basic Linux operating system knowledge
• Authentication and security over REST protocol
• Knowledge of AngularJS in building UI applications

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System and AMI functionalities
• Wealth management or private banking knowledge
• Oracle, PL/SQL
