Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Must be a Licensed Engineer.

  • Experience: Minimum of [2] years of experience in facilities management, engineering, or maintenance in a fuel retail or commercial setting.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fuel mechanical systems.

    • Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar software is an advantage.

    • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the fuel retail industry.

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and co-locators.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure.

  • Must be willing to extend work during weekends, holidays and extended office hours on a case to case basis such as emergencies and deadline compliance

  • Must have drivers license and driving experience



Job Description

1. Breakdown Maintenance

  • Objective: Ensure the prompt resolution of facility breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Key Tasks:

• Respond quickly to breakdowns affecting facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.

• Diagnose issues, coordinate repairs, and track all breakdowns to ensure minimal impact on station operations.

• Liaise with contractors and service providers for repairs, ensuring work is carried out according to service level agreements (SLAs).

• Record and maintain detailed logs of all breakdown incidents and resolutions.

• Prioritize breakdowns based on severity and impact on business operations.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Objective: Implement and oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs to reduce the occurrence of breakdowns and ensure equipment longevity.

• Key Tasks:

• Develop, schedule, and monitor regular preventive maintenance activities for all equipment and systems within retail stations (e.g., HVAC, lighting, generators, and plumbing).

• Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before they result in breakdowns.

• Maintain detailed records of all preventive maintenance tasks, including any follow-up actions required.

• Ensure all PM work complies with manufacturer recommendations and safety standards.

• Provide guidance and training to station staff to support routine maintenance activities and promote awareness of PM procedures.

3. Co-locator Assistance

• Objective: Provide support and coordination for co-locators to ensure the proper functioning of shared spaces and equipment within the retail station.

• Key Tasks:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for co-locators regarding facility maintenance issues and requests.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure that shared equipment and spaces (e.g., power supply, HVAC) are properly maintained.

• Provide assistance to co-locators in resolving facility-related issues that may affect their operations.

• Facilitate communication between the retail station management and co-locators to ensure that facility concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.

• Maintain accurate records of co-locator agreements and any service provided.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

• Objective: Ensure the facility meets all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Key Tasks:

• Conduct routine safety audits of retail stations and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

• Implement corrective actions for any identified safety violations.

• Monitor and ensure that all safety equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, emergency exits) is in place and functional.

• Ensure that the maintenance team adheres to safety protocols and that all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is used.

5. Vendor and Contractor Management

• Objective: Manage third-party vendors and contractors for maintenance and repair services.

• Key Tasks:

• Oversee contracts and service agreements with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with performance standards.

• Evaluate and select contractors for specialized services such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs.

• Track vendor performance and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and service quality.

• Ensure all maintenance activities conducted by third parties meet safety and quality standards.

6. Cost Control and Budget Management

• Objective: Monitor and control the costs associated with maintenance and facility operations.

• Key Tasks:

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget for the retail stations.

• Track and report on expenses related to breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and co-locator services.

• Implement cost-effective strategies for maintenance while maintaining high service levels.

• Review and approve maintenance-related invoices and purchase orders.

7. Reporting and Documentation

• Objective: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities and performance metrics.

• Key Tasks:

• Prepare regular maintenance reports detailing breakdown incidents, preventive maintenance activities, and other facility-related issues.

• Monitor and report on the status of maintenance work orders, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Maintain comprehensive records of equipment maintenance history and warranties.

• Provide management with recommendations based on facility performance data.
