Primary Responsibilities:

Manages the preparation of the monthly bank reconciliation report
Reviews the monthly schedules of various balance sheet and P&L accounts and analysis of account movements
Reviews the monthly journal voucher accounting entries
Reviews the monthly trial balance and ensures complete and correct posting of general ledger entries
Prepares and analyzes the monthly income statement
Facilitates the preparation of the monthly summaries, schedules and financial reports to JG Summit Holdings, Inc.
Assists in the conduct of audits of external auditors and participate in audit discussions concerning relevant implications that affect the financials of the Company
Facilitates preparation of the required quarterly and annual FS disclosures, including the submissions to relevant governing bodies such as SEC, PSE, CAB, etc.
Manages the General Accounting staff (supervisors and accounts specialists/analysts)
Coordinates with other departments for reconciliation and clean-up of accounts

Basic Qualifications:

Graduate of Bachelor of Science, Major in Accountancy is required
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Must have previous work experience in an auditing firm
Must have extensive knowledge on financial statements preparation
Preferably with minimum of 5 years working experience, at least 2 years in a managerial position
Background in airline accounting is a plus

Note: This position is for an Individual Contributor and will be based in Pasay City, Metro Manila but currently follows a hybrid workplace flexibility arrangement.
