Overview:

As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for creating production-grade data science solutions to improve and automate Maya’s internal processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and how data can be used in achieving company targets and business goals.

What you will do

• Utilize research to develop and deploy advanced statistical and/or machine learning models to improve operational functions and process efficiencies
• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models for various computer vision applications, including object detection, image classification, image segmentation, and text recognition
• Perform operational analyses as needed to generate better insights that could help strategically drive business decisions
• Quantify impact of data products for continual baselining to ensure solution quality, accuracy and business relevance
• Engage in the end-to-end lifecycle of data science from problem identification, technical framework creation, implementation of requirements, data gathering, analysis, modeling, and communication of results to stakeholders

What we are looking for:

• With at least a bachelor’s degree in any quantitative discipline (i.e. Statistics, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• More than 4 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with relevant libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Proficient in Git and GitLab/GitHub
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing is an advantage
• Experience with cloud computing and ML platforms (e.g. AWS, Databricks) is a plus
