What’s the overall purpose of the role?
- As a Account Director at Robert Walters, you’ll be at the forefront of building outstanding client relationships, leading one of high performing teams in Manila and delivering innovative hiring solutions and commercial success?
- You will oversee service delivery, ensuring full compliance with Service Level Agreements, acting as the go-to expert for issue resolution, and working closely with regional and global counterparts to maintain service excellence. You’ll play a key strategic role, defining cutting-edge recruitment strategies, talent pooling initiatives, and sourcing innovations to optimize hiring outcomes for our client.
- Beyond recruitment, you'll take full commercial ownership, managing budgets, vendor relationships, and account performance, while ensuring cost-effective, data-driven hiring solutions. Your ability to provide consultative advice, drive key client initiatives, and deliver measurable impact will be crucial in shaping our success.
What are the responsibilities & accountabilities?
Service Delivery
- To be accountable for the service delivery of the Robert Walters team and relationship management with the Client at all levels
- Ownership of the Robert Walters onsite service which includes all direct recruitment and payroll service provision
- To oversee the on-site team who manage all temporary and contract / permanent recruitment on behalf of the Client
- To provide superior service and develop strong relationships with the key Client stakeholders
- Delivering full compliance with the Service Level Agreement Between Robert Walters and the Client
- Producing and updating guidance manuals for engaging Hiring Managers and desk manuals for On-site teams.
- Act as central point of contact for escalated issue resolution
Client Drivers and Initiatives
- Actively contribute to the implementation of strategic initiatives to improve recruitment outcomes for the Client
- To provide consultative advice to the Client on all recruitment activities, recruitment strategy and process
- Identifying and implementing initiatives to improve cost effective recruitment outcomes for the Client, where appropriate
- Provide innovative and creative recruitment solutions in response to hiring needs and market conditions
- Hold presentations to groups of Hiring Managers to communicate change, when appropriate
- Continue to develop the Robert Walters’ profile within the Client
Commercial
- Ownership of the Client site P&L(s)
- Review and negotiate commercial terms
- Ensure any potential high-risk situations or requests to work outside of agreed contractual terms are appropriately escalated to Robert Walters Board and Legal Counsel
- Support the Robert Walters Group Credit Control to chase outstanding invoices requiring client approval
- Deliver meaningful MIS information and reporting that provides recruitment measures and reflects the value Robert Walters adds to the Client
- MIS Reporting: provide competitor/salary benchmarking and added value market intelligence
- Manage and optimise relationships to ensure a motivated supply chain providing best quality resources
- Prepare and conduct performance reviews to ensure the Client is receiving the best service
- To manage the implementation of new Robert Walters initiatives onsite
Contract/Compliance and Process
- Achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness in the recruitment processes
- Create, review and update recruitment processes to ensure best practice, internal policy compliance and external legislative compliance
- Responsible and accountable for the integrity of data on all recruitment related systems, Robert Walters or Client systems
Leadership
- Experience of creating, fostering, and developing inclusive and high performing teams
- Hire On and Off–site team members
- Bi-annual performance reviews, including objective setting and bonus allocations
- Provide team members with defined tasks and objectives
- Provide training and mentoring to assist staff meet tasks and objectives
- Measure staff performance and provide constructive feedback to aid in performance improvement
- Experience of creating, fostering and developing inclusive and high performing teams

What experience & qualifications is essential?
- Proven experience managing a talent acquisition delivery team across multiple countries.
- Minimum 5 years leading recruitment teams withing multiple markets across APAC, including team members operating from offshore delivery hubs.
- Experience of delivery of recruitment services within the domestic Philippines market
- Demonstrable successful client engagement and senior stakeholder management.
- Experience building and overseeing sourcing strategies and talent pools for future hiring.
- Experience managing P&L, driving cost conscience environments and identifying new sources of revenue.
- Minimum 8 years recruitment operations experience.
- Experience in using an Applicant Tracking System such as SuccessFactors, Workday, etc
- Prior experience in financial services and banking environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- An understanding of recruitment metrics and a passion in using data to drive insights.
