About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and expanding team. This pivotal role will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions for both our Australian and Philippine entities, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations across both jurisdictions. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of both Australian Accounting Standards and Taxation laws, as well as Philippine Accounting Standards and Tax regulations. This role will also be involved in financial forecasting and will have significant exposure to the preparation and analysis of Profit and Loss statements.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle for both entities, including processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely payments, and adhering to relevant local regulations.
• Oversee the accounts receivable function for both entities, including generating invoices, tracking customer payments, managing outstanding balances, and ensuring compliance with relevant local regulations.
• Manage and process employee payroll for Philippine entities, ensuring accurate and timely payment, and full compliance with Philippine tax and employment regulations.
• Prepare, review, and file company tax returns for both the Australian and Philippine entities, ensuring meticulous compliance with all applicable federal, state/territory (Australia), and local (Philippines) tax regulations.
• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports for both AU and PH entities
• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations for all relevant accounts across both entities.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements in both Australia and the Philippines.
• Actively participate in the preparation and analysis of budgets for both entities, providing insightful financial information and support.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements within the finance function to enhance efficiency and accuracy across both Australian and Philippine operations.
• Provide expert financial support and guidance to the finance team and other stakeholders on matters related to both Australian and Philippine accounting and taxation.

Other Responsibilities:

• Assist with internal and external audits for both entities.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and tax laws in both Australia and the Philippines.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures relevant to both entities.
• Undertake ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis related to financial forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is highly desirable.
• Significant proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting role, with demonstrable experience managing financial functions for both Australian and Philippine entities.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining financial forecasting models.
• Strong understanding of Profit and Loss statement preparation and analysis.
• Comprehensive understanding of Philippine Accounting Standards and Philippine Tax regulations.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, with demonstrated experience in Xero, Ignition, and Stripe. Experience with other accounting systems relevant to both regions is an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams in different locations.
