We’re seeking an experienced bookkeeper skilled in finance tools like QuickBooks for U.S. clients.

The ideal candidate has the ability to independently analyze raw data and categorize transactions line by line with accuracy and insight.

Duties and responsibilities

• Must know Quick Book very well
• Analyze raw data and categorize transactions line by line with accuracy and insight.
• Ability to handle all tasks of general bookkeeping including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, reviewing vendors’ Certificates of Insurance, weekly payroll and end-of-year audits.
• Review monthly credit card transactions and provide all receipts necessary for the Accounting Department to process payments.
• Record all activity in bank accounts in the accounting system
• Prepare check authorization sheet for approval and signature.
• Payroll processing
• Review financial submissions for any payment inconsistencies or errors.
• Prepare and maintain a vendor payment schedule
• Ordering supplies and researching the best possible prices.
• Maintain accurate document files
• Excellent command of the English language, plus administrative, and organizational skills with attention to detail

• 2+ years of proven experience as a bookkeeper/accounting assistant
• Computer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases and accounting software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced math and accounting knowledge
• High School degree; additional qualification as a Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant a plus
• Mathematics skills for accurate record-keeping
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
• Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
• Strong work ethic, reliable, and committed
• Demonstrates a strong desire to work in a cohesive team environment
• Friendly and Outgoing personality
• Working hour flexibility - Be able to work night shifts following US or other time zone.
• Submit an NBI clearance.
• Provide a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as Driver’s License, Postal ID, UMID, Passport)
• Work from home: The camera must be turned on for the meeting. Have a quiet work environment and a professional, neutral background with decent lighting (examples will be provided)
• Must have a personal computer with appropriate specifications and a functional webcam.
• Internet subscription/speed: At least 30 Mbps (DSL/Fiber only)
