Descrição:

The Merchandise Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing merchandising strategies that maximize sales, market share, and profitability for the company’s home care product lines. The role oversees product assortment, pricing, inventory management, promotional planning, and retail execution in coordination with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams. The Merchandise Manager ensures that all trade initiatives and merchandising activities are executed effectively in-store and across the distribution network.


  • Develop and implement merchandising plans and product assortment strategies for home care products to achieve sales, profit, and market share targets.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to plan product launches, trade promotions, pricing adjustments, and in-store activities.
  • Monitor product performance, inventory levels, and sales trends to optimize stock availability and product mix per channel and account.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, production, and purchasing teams to ensure timely product availability, pricing accuracy, and compliance with product specifications.
  • Manage and monitor merchandising standards and planogram compliance across key accounts and general trade outlets.
  • Conduct regular trade checks and market visits to gather insights on competitor pricing, merchandising practices, and trade promotions.
  • Analyze sales reports, sell-in and sell-out data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for assortment, pricing, and promotional adjustments.
  • Lead the development of promotional plans, POS materials, display concepts, and merchandising guidelines aligned with brand objectives.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Distributor teams for merchandising manpower planning, deployment, and performance tracking.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate merchandising teams and third-party providers to ensure effective in-store execution.

Requisito

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Merchandising, Sales Planning, or Category Management in the FMCG industry, preferably in home care, personal care, or household products.
  • Strong background in inventory management, product assortment planning, and trade promotions.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience handling both modern trade and general trade channels is an advantage.
  • Willing to conduct market visits, trade audits, and occasional provincial travel as needed.
