Description
- Plan, implement, and oversee all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Develop and maintain efficient transportation routes and delivery schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor the supply chain to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Evaluate and select carriers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships with transportation providers.
- Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the supply chain.
- Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to prevent shortages and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels based on demand forecasts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
- Address and resolve any issues related to delivery delays, quality concerns, or order inaccuracies.
- Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to align logistics operations with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to transportation and logistics.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including shipping documents, customs declarations, and invoices.
- Stay updated on changes in trade policies, tariffs, and import/export regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety and security protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of managing complex logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or TMS).
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, warehousing operations, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
