Description
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound machines regularly.
- Document and report preliminary findings to physicians.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for accurate diagnosis.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Manage patient records and imaging data securely.
- Stay updated with latest ultrasound technology and techniques.
- Assist in training junior staff and students if required.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
- Proven experience in performing various ultrasound examinations.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if necessary.
