We are seeking highly skilled Senior Test/QA Automation Engineer to join one of our esteemed clients' teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative projects, all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement (2-3x in the office).

As the Senior QA Automation Engineer, your focus will be on enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our vehicle tracking software. You will work closely with our software development team, business stakeholders, and users to understand requirements and use cases for software. From this, you will devise detailed test cases, including both functional and user experience aspects. You will also be instrumental in driving our testing process towards automation, thus increasing efficiency and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, capable of driving best practices in Quality Assurance while also understanding the needs of our business and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Strategy & Planning

• Define and implement automation test strategies, frameworks, and best practices by evaluating and selecting appropriate automation tools and technologies.
• Develop test plans and automation roadmaps aligned with project goals.
• Identify key areas for automation to improve testing efficiency.

Framework Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Implement automation solutions for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device test coverage.

Test Script/Plan Development & Execution

• Write, execute, and maintain manual & automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, and database testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, analyse, and report test execution results.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Lead and mentor automation engineers, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and DevOps to optimise automation processes.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on automation scripts.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay updated on new automation trends, tools, and techniques.
• Enhance test automation coverage and efficiency by adopting new technologies.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve test execution speed and reliability.

Defect Management & Reporting

• Work with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Provide detailed test reports and insights to stakeholders.
• Track automation progress and coverage metrics.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer in the QA & Test Automation space, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Understanding and experience in TDD/BDD principles and practices, with hands-on experience using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium/Appium/Playwright, RestAssured etc.
• Familiarity with experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C#, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Understanding of CI/CD & DevOps model in any space similar to Azure/Concourse/Jenkins/AWS/Google Cloud, etc.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience in telematics or IoT or a similar industry would be a plus.
