What You'll Do

As a Middle Office - Credit Risk Operations professional, you will play a pivotal role in improving the effectiveness of the Definition of Default. You will be responsible for analysing the credit risk system's database, troubleshooting interfaces from various source systems, and working closely with Risk Management and Lending teams. Your insights will support the bank's credit risk committee and model owners, while your coordination skills will ensure timely recognition or remediation of defaults. Furthermore, your collaborative efforts with front office and back-office teams will lead to improved operational processes.

  • Analyse the credit risk system's database to observe clients entering default on monthly basis
  • Troubleshoot interfaces from various source systems, cooperating with business/IT teams to explain each case
  • Work with Risk Management and Lending teams to verify client healthiness, ensuring correct following of default policy
  • Support the bank's credit risk committee and credit risk model owners by providing insight into their client portfolio
  • Coordinate timely recognition or remediation of both correct and incorrect defaults
  • Collaborate with front office and back-office teams to analyse existing operational processes, proposing improvements in proactive handling of defaults

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for this Middle Office - Credit Risk Operations role brings extensive experience from the banking industry, particularly in credit risk processes. You have a strong affinity for technology and systems, backed by experience working with enterprise software. Your expertise lies in data analysis, ideally with tools such as SQL/SAS/PBI. You are adept at managing your own time to meet deadlines and possess excellent communication skills that allow you to present complex topics effectively. Comfortable working in an international context, you are transparent, flexible, and motivated.

  • Experience in the banking industry with a good understanding of credit risk processes
  • Affinity for technology and systems, having had experience working with or around enterprise software
  • Expertise with data and data analysis, ideally also with SQL/SAS/PBI
  • Ability to manage own time to meet deadlines
  • Skilled in communicating and presenting complex topics and solutions
