Job Summary: 

Utilize inputs provided by switchboard designers, along with independent experience and research, to generate compliant CAD and Solidworks 3D models and 2D fabrication and assembly drawings for LV/MV switchboards, sheet metal enclosures.

Maintain sheet metal parts and sub-assemblies’ library for respective product lines under the PDM system. Liaise with switchboard designers and fabrication workshop to optimize designs and cost of operations.

• Design and development of new products from concept through to production, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company needs.
• Manage prototyping, testing, and validation processes to ensure products meet functional and performance expectations.
• Create and maintain detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using SolidWorks, ensuring precision in manufacturing processes.
• Learn and understand Mayfield’s design and construction methods to deliver designs that conform to Mayfield’s standard practices.
• Proactively learn and understand the basis of electrical design, to be able to develop accurate 3D designs as early as possible during a project’s timeline.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of Mayfield designs.
• Work with the New Product Development Lead and Production Manager to review and refine work practices to bring improved efficiencies in design, construction methods and materials usage.
• Work to automate repetitive design tasks by using innovative solutions and developing customized design tools in 3D CAD programs and spreadsheets.
• Liaise proactively with Switchboard Designers to understand their requirements and create appropriate documentation and models to suit.
• Review opportunities for improvements and suggestions relating to assigned products.
• Work with and assist others in the engineering/design team in a collaborative and professional manner as required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a technical context.
• Proven ability to work towards and achieve milestones and deadlines.
• Innovative, with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Flexible and adaptable, capable of quickly adjusting to new tasks in response to shifting company priorities.

Requirements/Skills needed:

• Essential: Strong Solidworks sheet metal design knowledge, Strong sheet metal fabrication knowledge,
• Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with electrical products used in switchboard and their installation/wiring methods.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in 3D Solidworks sheet metal design

• Set-up and Location: Onsite (Ortigas, Alabang, Pampanga, Cebu)
• Work Schedule: 9:00AM to 6:00PM (ACST) | 7:30AM to 4:30PM (PH)
