  • J-Channel Ingredients Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IMPEX SPECIALIST to join our growing team. As an IMPEX Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of imported goods into our company.


  • You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the import process, from sourcing suppliers to coordinating shipments and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate documentation for import and export shipments, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other customs-related paperwork.
  • Manage customs procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and working with customs brokers to facilitate the smooth movement of goods.
  • Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution of imported and exported goods, including booking shipping containers, arranging for customs clearance, and tracking shipments in transit.
  • Identify and source reliable suppliers of imported goods, negotiate prices and terms, and manage relationships with international vendors.
  • Stay informed about changes in import/export regulations, ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and standards, and manage potential risks associated with international trade.
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise during the import/export process, such as delays, damage to goods, customs disputes, and other unforeseen challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an IMPEX role or in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of international trade law, logistics, and customs procedures.
  • Experience with import/export documentation and customs clearance.
  • Knowledge of international shipping and transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software programs.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with a strong work ethic.
