Description
- A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in homes, hotels, offices, or other facilities. Their duties typically include:
- Clean and tidy rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels
- Wash, fold, and iron laundry as needed
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries
- Dispose of trash and sanitize waste bins
- Notify management of any necessary repairs or maintenance issues
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience in hotels, hospitals, or private residences is a plus
- Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, supplies, and equipment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Good time management to complete tasks within deadlines
- Basic communication skills for reporting maintenance issues
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and hygiene standards
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods
- Capability to lift and move heavy items (e.g., furniture, laundry baskets)
- Stamina to handle repetitive tasks and physically demanding work
