(Civics & Culture, AP World History & AP Human Geography)

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable History Teacher to instruct students in Elementary Civics and Culture, Advanced Placement World History, and Advanced Placement Human Geography. This role requires a dynamic educator with expertise in history, geography, and civics, capable of engaging students from elementary through high school levels. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, global awareness, and a deep understanding of historical events, geography, and cultural dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in Elementary Civics and Culture, introducing students to civic duties, government structures, and global cultures.
• Teach AP World History, covering political, economic, social, and cultural developments across historical periods.
• Instruct AP Human Geography, focusing on human populations, migration, urbanization, and political geography, preparing students for AP exams.
• Design lesson plans and assessments that align with state standards and AP guidelines.
• Integrate technology and diverse resources to enhance learning experiences.
• Develop and administer tests, projects, and assignments to assess student understanding.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or related field (required).
• Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience teaching history, geography, or civics at the elementary or secondary level.
• Familiarity with AP World History and AP Human Geography curriculum and exam preparation is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable.
• Enthusiastic and motivated and committed to student success.

Full-time position with competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 2 PM to 10 PM
