Duties & Responsibilities


Fraud Detection & Control

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective detection and prevention of fraudulent customer transactions and subscriptions through the timely review of fraud alarms to reduce fraud losses.
  • Ensures proper escalation and understanding of fraud findings to relevant partners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement rules, algorithms, or models to predict and identify potential fraud.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and outliers associated with fraudulent activities.
  • Present data-driven insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, often using data visualization tools.


Fraud Investigations

  • Conducts analysis and investigation on fraud cases and submits findings in a well-organized report.
  • Reports on the cause, control breach and identified risk areas, operational weaknesses or gaps in the process, policy or procedural lapses and other circumstances that enabled the revenue leakages or fraud losses.


Process Improvement

  • Recommends controls, corrective actions or remediation related to identified risk areas or fraud schemes.
  • Provides data and statistics needed by relevant partners to implement a data driven anti-fraud business decision, policy or procedural changes.
  • Assess effectiveness of fraud detection criteria, thresholds, and fraud controls being implemented by the team.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of a BS Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or any math-heavy related course
  • Preferably with 1-2 year/s relevant experience in fraud detection and control or data analytics, but new graduates may apply

Skills

  • Adept at using Microsoft Office using MS Word and Powerpoint.
  • Knowledge and experience in using data analysis and visualization tools such as MS Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Willingness to learn and train on the use of tools / software.
  • Can effectively convey thoughts, can communicate confidently in Filipino and in English.
  • Creative and Team player
