• Create baked goods: Make pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and other confections 
• Decorate: Use icings, toppings, and other techniques to decorate pastries 
• Manage inventory: Order ingredients, supplies, and equipment, and monitor stock levels 
• Develop recipes: Create new recipes for desserts and breads, and update existing ones 
• Design menus: Collaborate with the executive chef to create seasonal menus 
• Train staff: Hire, train, and supervise new cooks and bakers
