Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a hospitality and casual dining brands company. They are seeking a Vice President for Quality Assurance who will be responsible in spearheading the strategic direction for quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and guest experience across the company's restaurant network. As a key member of the executive leadership team, he/she will establish and uphold standards that ensure excellence in food quality, consistent service, regulatory adherence, and brand integrity. The position involves close collaboration with Operations, Culinary, Supply Chain, Training, and Legal departments to foster a company-wide culture of quality and accountability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement the company’s quality assurance strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand values, and customer expectations.
  • Quality Systems & Standards
  • Oversee the creation and continuous enhancement of quality management systems, food safety protocols (e.g., HACCP), and operational SOPs across all locations.
  • Brand Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure consistent adherence to internal standards and external regulations concerning food safety, hygiene, service quality, and brand execution across all units.
  • Audit & Risk Oversight
  • Lead comprehensive audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively manage quality risks and ensure compliance with changing regulatory requirements.
  • Customer-First Quality Culture
  • Promote a guest-centric approach by translating feedback and QA insights into tangible improvements in food and service quality.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing quality assurance team; cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a strategic partner to executive peers, driving cross-functional initiatives involving new product development, supply chain optimization, technology integration, and innovation.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Utilize QA data, customer satisfaction metrics, and operational KPIs to inform decisions and communicate performance to senior stakeholders and the board.
  • Sustainability & ESG Integration
  • Align quality assurance practices with broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, including sustainable and ethical sourcing.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
  • 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in Quality Assurance, ideally within multi-unit restaurant chains, hospitality, or food service industries.
  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership with a history of improving operational quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Expertise in food safety standards and regulatory compliance (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, FDA).
  • Strong business and analytical acumen with the ability to lead both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
