Description

  • Operate and drive trucks for transporting goods.

  • Ensure timely delivery while adhering to safety regulations.

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

  • Keep accurate delivery logs and report any incidents.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.

  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL – Required for most truck driving jobs.
  • Age – Usually 21 or older for interstate driving.
  • Experience – Typically 1-2 years or truck driving school completion.
  • Clean Driving Record – No major violations.
  • Physical Fitness – Pass a physical exam.
  • Background Check – Criminal and driving history check.
  • Long Hours – Flexibility for nights/weekends.
  • Cargo Handling – Load/unload or ensure cargo is secure.
  • Safety Knowledge – Familiarity with regulations and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to interact with dispatch and customers.
