The Role

  • MS Teams Telephony, IP Networks, and VoIP Protocols Expertise

    • MS Teams user management and provisioning of users, telephone numbers, dial-plans, voice routing policies using PowerShell and Regex

    • Troubleshoot IP networks and VoIP protocols, with a focus on efficiently interpreting and resolving SIP dialogs/transactions. 

  • SBC Administration and Related Tasks

    • Configure, Maintain, and troubleshoot SBCs to ensure secure and efficient VoIP communication. 

    • Knowledge in managing/administering Audiocodes SBC

  • Scripting for Automations

    • Deploy network and system automation using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell. 

  • Leadership and Team Management

    • Manage projects, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. 

    • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex technical issues. 

  • Problem-Solving Skills and Continuous Learning

    • Develop solutions for complex technical issues. 

    • commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in VoIP technology and related fields

Qualifications

  • The candidate should have advanced proficiency in MS Teams telephony, IP Networks, and VoIP Protocols, particularly SIP. 

  • They should be adept at MS Teams user management and provisioning of users, telephone numbers, dial-plans, voice routing policies using PowerShell and Regex. 

  • The candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills in IP networks and VoIP protocols, with a focus on efficiently interpreting and resolving SIP dialogs/transactions. 

  • The candidate should have extensive experience in the administration and management of Session Border Controllers (SBCs). 

  • They should be familiar with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SBCs to ensure secure and efficient VoIP communication. 

  • The candidate should be knowledgeable in SBC-related tasks such as call routing, security policies, and interoperability between different networks. 

  • Experience in managing/administering Audiocodes SBC will be considered an added advantage. 

  • The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in deploying network and system automation using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell. 

  • Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer certificate a plus 

  • Possession of Audiocodes or any SBC (Session Border Controller) products certification is highly desirable. 

  • As a senior engineer, the candidate should have experience in managing projects, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. 

  • They should be able to mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex technical issues. 

  • The candidate should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical team members and stakeholders. 

  • The candidate should be committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in VoIP technology and related fields
