About the role:
Ensures the Firm and its partners are duly accredited with relevant regulatory bodies and supports the development of DPP-TAG policies and procedures that are compliant with relevant quality standards and KPMG’s member firm requirements, including its requirements on consultations, pre-issuance reviews, and monitoring activities.
Responsibilities:
Advisory
- Oversee monitoring of the latest accreditation requirements of regulatory bodies, including PRC/BOA, SEC, BIR, BSP, PSE, IC, CDA, ERC, and NEA Oversee monitoring of validity of the Firm's and partners' accreditations, ensuring that preparations for relevant applications for renewal are started timely and completed prior to the expiration of such accreditations
- Check whether appropriate surveys and coordination are being performed on a timely basis
- Oversee monitoring of compliance of DPP-TAG policies and procedures with the requirements of the KPMG network, relevant local regulatory bodies, and relevant practice standards such as the ISQM Oversee announcements and advisories on the latest accreditations of the Firm and its partners, and other matters relevant to accreditations.
- Oversee drafting and issuance of DPP-TAG policies and procedures
- Review memos and materials for release by DPP
- Oversee monitoring of engagement teams' compliance with DPP-TAG requirements, such as the Conduct of Risk Assessment Planning Discussions
Consultation
- Respond to queries on accreditation requirements and DPP-TAG policies and procedures
- Review drafts prepared by subordinates
Training
- Serve as facilitator/trainer in the roll out of training on accreditation with regulatory bodies for the practice of profession, DPP-TAG policies and procedures, and other relevant monitoring activities of DPP-TAG
- Oversee and provide guidance to subordinates in their facilitation of training sessions
- Oversee the development of training materials
- Coordinate training initiatives with the DPP's Learning and Development
Requirements:
- Knowledge of accreditation requirements of regulatory bodies, including PRC/BOA, SEC, BIR, BSP, PSE, IC, CDA, ERC and NEA
- Knowledge of IFRS/PFRS
- Knowledge of ISA/PSA Personal effectiveness
- Strong organizational skills; ability to successfully manage projects; ability to work effectively within teams and independently; and commitment to high performance and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills - ability to explain complex ideas simply and convey key messages convincingly
- The right mindset - can see the big picture whilst giving attention to detail; strategic, ambitious, enthusiastic, able to look at issues from different angles and bring fresh thinking
- Any or a combination of work experience (4 or more years) in the following areas:
- Managerial role in public audit
- Managerial role in financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Involvement in policy setting and process improvement initiatives
- Preparation of internal and/or external formal communications and materials
- Project management
- BS Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
