We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainability or Mechanical Engineering Consultant with a strong focus on energy modelling. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about sustainable design and energy efficiency in the built environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our projects by conducting energy performance simulations and contributing to sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform energy modelling and simulation analyses for buildings and systems.
• Utilize software such as Virtual Environment IES, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or equivalent tools.
• Provide technical input into sustainable design strategies.
• Analyze and interpret modelling results, preparing reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in energy modelling or building performance analysis.
• Proficiency with one or more energy modelling tools (e.g., IES VE, EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Desirable

• Experience working within a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of building codes and sustainability rating systems (e.g., NABERS, LEED, BREEAM).
