Residential Solar Power Retail Sales Specialist


Key Responsibilities:


Sales and Customer Acquisition:

Actively prospect new customers, follow up with online qualified leads, and close sales for residential solar power systems and Battery Storage Systems (BSS).


Consultation and Needs Assessment

Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to assess customers' energy usage, evaluate their needs, and recommend the most suitable solar solution.


Product Knowledge

Keep up-to-date on solar energy products, financing options. Be able to explain these solutions to customers in a clear, engaging, and compelling manner.


Negotiation and Closing

Present and negotiate offers, including pricing and financing options, working to close deals effectively and efficiently.


Retail Partners Management

Manage retail partners' sales force and assist them in achieving sales targets. Provide effective sales training, tools, and ongoing support to retail partners and individual sales reps.


Collaboration with Installation and Design Teams

Collaborate with the engineering, installation, and project management teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to system installation.


Marketing and Outreach

Participate in promotional events, workshops, and webinars to generate leads, educate the community, and build brand awareness.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

- University Diploma or Equivalent required. (Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field is preferred)

- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in home improvement, renewable energy, high-end consumer electronics, automotive sales, real estate, air conditioning sales, or a related field.

- Experience in solar energy or green technology sales is an advantage but not mandatory.

Strong Communication Skills:

Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a simple, relatable manner to non-expert customers.


Customer-Oriented:

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.


Sales Expertise:

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a strong history of closing deals in a competitive environment.


Negotiation Skills:

Comfortable negotiating pricing, financing, and other terms to close deals successfully.


Problem-Solving:

Skilled at addressing customer objections and overcoming challenges to find tailored solutions.


Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage multiple leads and accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.


Physical and Environmental Conditions:

- May require **travel** to customer homes, attending events, or working in outdoor conditions.

- Flexibility to work **weekends** or evenings to meet customer schedules as needed.
