WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
As part of Group IT, we are on a transformation journey to industrialize IT and help the rest of the organization to mature processes and efficiency. Group IT consists of around 90 skilled and motivated colleagues around the globe.
We are looking for an experienced
Workday Financials Consultant to help maintain and enhance our Workday HCM platform.
Based in Manila, you will be part of the IT ERP team responsible for managing the entire Workday Platform across HR, Finance, and Professional Services. The team comprises 11 colleagues with various roles, including a Platform Architect, Business Analysts, and Functional Consultants. You will report to the Head of ERP Systems, Director, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As a Workday Financials Consultant, you will assist Finance teams globally in leveraging Workday to develop and implement best-practice finance processes and achieve operational excellence across all Finance-related processes. You will cover the full development lifecycle from gathering and understanding requirements, designing fit for purpose solutions, implement the changes in Workday and deploying them into production. You will also serve as third level support to ensure our Workday platform works as intended. In your role you will also play an important role in the bi-yearly Workday Releases as well as our innovation process, which aims at strategically suggesting features and functionality to make our Workday platform smarter
This involves using Workday to standardize, simplify, centralize, and automate finance processes and ensure efficient operational processes around the Workday application. The work environment is dynamic and rapidly growing within an international company with significant growth potential and career opportunities. Your working hours will align with the EMEA time zone. It is expected that you will be present in our Manila office for two days a week.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Support configuration of Finance business processes in the Workday application in close cooperation with Finance
- Create solution designs based on key business requirements
- Configure/develop, test, and deploy solutions
- Take part in application support and maintenance tasks
- Handle core finance data change requests, such as adding new cost center or configure new entity
- Propose ways to innovate and make our solutions more efficient
- Adhere to IT principles and suggest future changes
- Work on implementing the backlog of ideas, change requests, new releases, and enhancements
What We Value

- An academic degree in finance or IT
- Solid knowledge of Workday Finance (minimum 2 years of Workday experience)
- Experience in Workday administration or configuration
- Experience with business- and finance process optimization
- Sound knowledge of operational processes in finance
- Skilled in collaboration and communication skills, bridging IT and Finance
- Very Service-minded and have a positive mindset
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow
- Solid analytical skills and a solution-focused attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks, to ensure deadlines are met
- Good collaboration and communication skills in English
- Working knowledge of Agile (Kanban) methodologies is beneficial
- You are humble with a sense of humor
