Job Summary:


The Restaurant Floor Manager is responsible for leading front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, smooth daily service, and effective team coordination. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and capable of handling floor operations for up to 100 guests. Strong communication skills in Mandarin Chinese, English, and/or Malay are essential for engaging with a diverse customer base and team.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Guest Experience & Floor Supervision

  • Maintain a strong and visible presence on the floor, ensuring seamless service for up to 100 diners.
  • Greet, interact with, and address guest needs or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure the dining area, table settings, and service flow are consistently up to standard.


2. Staff Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise, coach, and schedule the service team including waitstaff, hosts, and bar personnel.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and support on-the-job training to ensure staff are well-prepared and motivated.
  • Foster a team environment that upholds service quality, professionalism, and efficiency.


3. Operational Control

  • Manage table turnover, reservations, and large group setups.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely food and beverage delivery.
  • Monitor FOH supplies, cleanliness, and readiness for each shift.


4. Communication & Language Proficiency

  • Communicate clearly with guests and team members in Mandarin Chinese, English, and/or Malay, depending on the situation.
  • Bridge language gaps to ensure smooth coordination across teams and enhance guest interaction.


5. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Handle incident reporting, shift summaries, and administrative tasks as assigned.


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or floor management role in the F&B industry.
  • Able to manage operations during peak hours and high guest volume (up to 100 pax).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-versed in Mandarin Chinese, English, or Malay (multilingual candidates preferred).
  • Team-oriented with the ability to lead by example.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
