About The Job Purchasing Officer

Position Summary
In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Grafik Pine House Baguio, and under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Officer is responsible in obtaining the best quality material and service at the right time in the most cost-effective manner.
Scopes And Responsibilities
- Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
- Responsible for the preparation and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Issue approved purchase order in accordance to specification.
- Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
- Submit a weekly canvass report for all market list items to the Purchasing Manager.
- Schedule store visits and conduct competitor survey.
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
- Handling and monitoring of claims to vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.
- Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site on time.
- Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers.
- Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives
- Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for better Management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities.
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Practices the Guiding Principles and Core Values of the company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Hospitality Management
- At least 3 years experience in hospitality sector and at least 1 year experience in a supervisory role in Purchasing department.
