Citi Finance is responsible for the firm’s financial management and related controls.  We manage and partner on key Citi initiatives and deliverables, such as our quarterly earnings process and ensuring Citi’s compliance with financial rules and regulations.  The team comprises chief financial officers who partner with each of our businesses and disciplines including controllers, financial planning and analysis, strategy, investor relations, tax and treasury.

The Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position under the Finance Controllers Organization. The role is a Finance role supporting Asia market with the main responsibility of ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the US GAAP financial results.

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Be responsible for the end to end closing of the books (including sub ledgers) for US GAAP reporting including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
• Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
• Perform review of the financials by reviewing materials period over period movements and correlating it with Business events and other external drivers
• Document and establish business requirement documents, review test scripts, and interact with business partners to ensure successful migrations of key technology releases
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to align financial strategies with company goals to achieve sustainable growth.
• Identify and resolve problems using basic Finance knowledge, escalating as needed
• Assist with the implement workflow or process change and redesign
• Assist in the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
• Execute processes and procedures within defined parameters
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 4-6 years of previous experience required
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Team player who can collaborate across other functions and departments within the organization
• Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Statistical Analysis System (SAS) experience preferred

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
