Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for creating and managing financing solutions that drive our business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective financial controls.


Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support Solviva’s growth objectives.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership.
  • Prepare financial reports for management and board presentations.


Financial Controls & Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial integrity.

Revenue Management:

  • Oversee financial performance, ensuring accurate revenue tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor burn rate, runway, and other key startup financial metrics to drive sustainability.
  • Optimize spending to align with growth and profitability goals.


Budget Management:

  • Oversee company-wide budget planning and management.
  • Monitor and control expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.


Product Development:

  • Support in the design and development of financing structures for Solviva’s solar products & solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure sustainable funding sources.
  • Ensure the financial viability and scalability of consumer financing products.


Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of finance personnel.


Others:

  • Help foster a collaborative and high-performance culture among the different workstreams in Solviva
  • Provide guidance and support to Solviva team members on financial modeling activities
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required to support the financial health and growth of the company.
  • Represent Solviva in financial discussions and negotiations with external parties.


Qualifications and Skills


Education & Background

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of finance personnel.
  • Education & Background Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management
  • Experience in startups, fintech, renewable energy, or consumer finance is a plus.


Financial & Strategic Expertise

  • Background in financial planning, forecasting, and risk management
  • Experience with fundraising, debt financing, and financial controls
  • Understanding of unit economics, burn rate, and financial sustainability
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements


Leadership & Execution

  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Hands-on approach with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and investor engagement.

Organization

This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This role collaborates with various departments including Operations, Sales, Marketing, Digital, Business Development, and Consumer Finance.
