Compliance & Liaison Officer (Government Relations)

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Compliance & Liaison Officer (Government Relations) to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to our success, ensuring we operate within the legal framework and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key government agencies in the Philippines.

 

Your Mission: 

To act as a strategic bridge between our company and key government agencies, ensuring seamless compliance with all regulations and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships. You will be responsible for navigating the complexities of government processes and procedures, ensuring our company's smooth operations and adherence to all applicable laws.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Compliance Champion: You will ensure our company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, keeping us on the right track. This includes staying updated on legal changes and proactively identifying potential risks.
  • Relationship Builder: You will build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring efficient communication. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a network of contacts within relevant government agencies.
  • Problem Solver: You will proactively identify and resolve compliance issues, ensuring smooth operations and mitigating potential risks.
  • Documentation Expert: You will meticulously manage and maintain all relevant documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Data Analyst: You will analyze data and trends related to compliance, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting proactive solutions.
  • Government Liaison: You will serve as the primary point of contact for all government-related matters, acting as a liaison between our company and agencies, including, but not limited to: Bureau of Immigration (for visa processing); Local government units (for business permits); Bureau of Internal Revenue (for tax compliance); Department of Labor and Employment (for labor regulations); and Register of Deeds (for property title transfers).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field;

• 2+ years of experience in a liaison or compliance role, preferably in the Philippines, with a focus on government relations;

• Strong understanding of Philippine laws and regulations, particularly those related to immigration, business permits, taxation, labor, and property transactions;

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
