Description

·        Prepares and cooks a variety of dim sum dishes, following recipes and quality standards, while managing a kitchen station and possibly training junior staff.

·        Proven experience as a Dimsum Cook or in a similar role.

·        Proficiency in a full range of handcrafted dim sum offerings.

·        Dumplings, Siomai, buns, bao and steamed specialties

·        Sapin-sapin, Palitaw & other pinoy kakanin

·        Strong knowledge in Asian kitchen operations, including stir-fried dishes, broths, noodles, and grilled items.

·        Excellent knife skills, dough shaping, and steaming techniques.

·        Ability to maintain product consistency and recipe compliance across multiple venues and service points.

·        Maintaining efficiency in high-volume service without compromising on presentation or quality.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·        Strong attention to detail and presentation.

·        Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

·        Good communication and teamwork abilities.

·        Culinary school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficient in cooking techniques, kitchen hygiene, mise-en-place, culinary skills, and dim sum preparation.
  • Working Conditions: Fast-paced kitchen environment with varying shifts.
  • Qualities and Traits: Passionate about Chinese cuisine, teamwork-oriented, and attention to detail.
