Description
- Handle cargo loading, unloading, and securing to ensure safe transport.
- Inspect cargo for damage or irregularities and report issues.
- Manage documentation such as waybills, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers for efficient cargo operations.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and transportation regulations.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts if required.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including sorting, labeling, and organizing cargo.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items as required.
- Familiarity with cargo handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
