Description

The Accounting Specialist (Procurement) is responsible for managing supply inventory levels and negotiating with vendors. This role involves learning the company's purchasing policies, ensuring supplies are available for daily operations, and conducting price comparisons to secure the best deals. The specialist also supports accounting tasks related to procurement and ensures compliance with financial processes.


What you will do:

  • Purchasing Management: Initiate bids, prepare purchase requisitions/orders, coordinate deliveries, verify received items, and tag fixed assets.
  • Vendor Management: Source, qualify, and manage vendors; negotiate rates and credit terms; ensure on-time delivery.
  • Statutory Compliance & Government Regulatory Compliance: Submit PEZA reports for fixed asset purchases, liaise with suppliers for VAT-exempt bills, work with customs/PEZA on shipments, and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Accounting Support: Assist with fixed asset accounting, prepare financial reports, support month-end closing activities, and provide ad-hoc assistance to the finance team.
  • Other Functions: Manage inventory, perform asset counts, and assist with other purchasing-related projects.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any Accounting or Business-related course
  • At least 1 year of experience in purchasing and accounting
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Sheets
  • Strong communication skills and coordination experience
  • Prior experience in coordination with various entities, government regulatory compliance, and bank instruction coordination is an advantage
  • Must be willing to report onsite once a week (office is in North EDSA, Quezon City)
