The Finance and Accounting Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the finance department with day-to-day financial operations. In the fast-paced logistics and transportation industry, this role ensures accuracy in financial records, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports, ledgers, and statements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring proper documentation and timely payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis.
• Monitor and record daily cash transactions, freight billings, fuel costs, and other operational expenses.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, particularly related to transport costs and logistics overhead.
• Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain organized financial filing systems for invoices, receipts, and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and company financial policies.
• Provide administrative support to the Finance team as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (logistics experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of logistics billing, fuel charge reconciliation, or freight-related costing is a plus.
