About Company
Birthed in Bikrampur, the “city of courage” nestled in a small region south of Bangladesh, my childhood was one of limited choices but abundant freedom. I was surrounded by nature and devoid of technology – not merely slow Wi-Fi, but living in a village where the most advanced gadget within a 20-mile radius was a black-and-white television owned by the area’s chief. Fast forward to when I was 16, my mother managed to scrape together enough resources to send me to a place with greater opportunities: the unique city of Chiang Mai, located north of Bangkok, Thailand.
Little did I know that I had stumbled upon the SEO capital of the world. Chiang Mai had a diverse economy, a thriving coffee shop culture, and was a hub for countless foreigners seeking to make money online. Given my innate fascination with video games, I took to SEO quickly, seeing it as another computer-based challenge to solve. I was captivated by the idea of optimizing websites and eagerly awaited the subsequent boost in rankings and traffic.
In late 2012, at 18 years old, I secured a scholarship for a Marketing degree at Monroe College, north of New York City. This was a game-changer. For the first time, I saw a clear path where my SEO efforts could lead to a full-time livelihood. The competition in the United States was unlike anything I had ever experienced, and the demand for local services continued to grow. I became fixated on not just discovering what worked, but also identifying processes that would allow for successful SEO replication across multiple sites.
During this time, I met Melanie, who became an essential part of both my life and the company. In 2017, we decided that to reach our full potential, we should focus on serving a single industry. We wanted to not only optimize websites but also take a vested interest in the quality of the leads generated. We aimed to support our clients by truly caring about their bottom line and the profits generated through our services. As we deepened our relationships with clients and sought to understand their businesses’ challenges beyond SEO, we found that the white-collar industry wasn’t for us. Instead, we shifted our focus to home services, where tracking results was more straightforward than with brick-and-mortar businesses.
One client, a roofer, experienced remarkable results from our efforts. Although he was using Home Advisor and Thumbtack, we rapidly closed the gap in the number of leads he could service himself. It was then that I realized roofing was the ideal industry for marketing. Roofing stood out because it was one of the few industries where you could secure a check for over $10,000 and fulfill the order the very next day. It was also relatively recession-proof, as it was more of a necessity than a luxury. Finally, adding just one extra job per week to a roofing business would make our services successful and our clients extremely satisfied.
In late 2017, we committed to working exclusively with roofing contractors, and the rest is history. As of 2019, this decision has proven to be one of the best I’ve ever made. It has allowed us to develop a product that improves the success of the roofing businesses we work with while also enabling us to work closely with our clients. We take a personal interest in every business we collaborate with, offering not only technical services but also the consultative insights gained from working with similar businesses in various markets across the United States.
