Mendoza Guazon, Inc. was named after its founder, Dr. Maria Paz Mendoza Guazon. She was the 1st woman to graduate the UP College of Medicine in 1912, and stayed on as a Professor until her passing in 1967. This company was founded as her real estate management corporation with a portfolio of diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. 1120 Otis is a diverse real estate - leasing and property manager encompassing all facets of property, from commercial, office, residential, land and warehouse leasing and property management. 1120 Otis is a Real Estate Lessor and Property Management company started by Dra. Maria Paz Mendoza Guazon to manage various properties under her portfolio. She was among the first Filipino women to acquire a high school diploma and receive a medical degree from the University of the Philippines. She was also the first woman member of the university’s Board of Regents. Calle Otis, a street in Paco, Manila, was renamed after her.
